NUI Maynooth has been named the 2008 Irish University of the Year in The Sunday Times University Guide 2008, published with the newspaper on Sunday.
Ireland’s smallest but fastest growing university saw off competition from University College Dublin which came second.

OVER 1,500 STUDENTS CONFERRED AT NUI MAYNOOTH

Educate Together is to open 12 state-of-the-art new school buildings on Monday.
Educate Together schools are multi-denominational and aim to promote integration of minorities in Irish society.
There are currently 44 such primary schools around the country.
The 12 new schools are based in Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow.
