Further Investment approved for North Kildare Schools

Local TD and Minister of State, Aine Brady, has been informed by her colleague, the Minister for Education, Mary Coughlan TD, that two further North Kildare Schools have received approval for maintenance works.

‘Hewetson NS in Millicent Clane and Scoil Bhride on the Sallins Road in Naas have both received approval to proceed with the improvement works for their schools. Hewetson NS have received approval to dryline walls and construct a covered walkway while Scoil Bhride has received approval for conversion works to improve the teaching environment.’ stated Minister Brady.

‘We continue to make progress throughout the constituency in increasing the capacity of our schools and improving the quality of the teaching and learning environment. In recent weeks we have secured approval to start the construction of a new School in Maynooth, Progress on the provision of additional accommodation for the Maynooth Post Primary school, the new Kill National School is to be ready by the end of the year, the detailed design has been approved for the new Ardclough National School and is now at tender stage, approval has been given for an extension to Scoil Choca Naofa in Kilcock, work is on-going to the extension of the CBS in Naas, work is on-going on the extension to the Boys School in Maynooth and 48 Summer Works Schemes have been approved.’
