A Tempting Fête on 13th June, Clane!

The Parish Country Fête in Clane will prove to be a truly ‘Tempting Fête’! The annual Parish Country Fete is held every year in the idyllic grounds of Hewetson School, Millicent, Clane and is one of the highlights of the Kildare summer. This year the date for your diary is Sunday June 13th at 1pm.
The Parish Country Fête once again promises to be full of fun for all the family. If you like bric-a-brac, cake stalls, a bottle stall, vintage cars, old old tractors and even older tractors amongst other things – you can’t miss out. There are all sorts of nice things to eat and plenty of entertainment with amongst other things ‘the best dressed dog competition’. To ensure that the children have the best possible fun, entertainment is always extremely fairly priced, and throughout the grounds there are great value games, face-painting, and bouncing castles for a small cost for limitless time. Parents can relax and enjoy the afternoon knowing their children are safe and sound and having a fantastic time.
And this year there will be an added bit of fun. While casual dress is welcome if you wish to dress for the occasion as a country gentlemen or squire, a poacher, a milkmaid, scarecrows, a lady in day dresses, wear a bonnet or boater, you will be most welcome and may even win a prize!
The Fête is unique in being a successful community event that relies wholly on a willing group of volunteers, who assemble the marquees, bake for the cake stall, collect for the bric-a-brac, and make for the craft stalls and who then man the stalls during the Fête. It is organised by the Clane Union of Parishes and monies raised on the day are used to support ongoing commitment to the mission and ministry.
