A building company has alleged most of the concrete basements supplied to it for installation in homes on an estate in Maynooth, Co Kildare, are in fact defective and have let in water, exposing it to loss and claims of up to €6 million.

Replay scuppers Galway’s training-camp plan

Galway have had to shelve a planned training camp in Carton House this week because of Saturday night’s Leinster hurling semi-final replay with Offaly.
The squad was due to convene at the Maynooth venue yesterday for four days, but the replay has derailed those plans.

Real Madrid to Return to Maynooth for Pre-Season Training

Real Madrid are expected to head back to the Republic of Ireland this summer to parade their latest galacticos – and likely new boss Jose Mourinho.
The Spanish giants started their pre-season activities in Maynooth last year – 20 miles from Dublin – and were impressed enough with the facilities to pencil in another trip.
