Discovering Your Part 2009 Forms
Posted on29. Sep, 2009 by Maynooth Town Portal.
As we prepare our final rotas for Sunday morning worship in the coming months we thought we would give one final chance for people to volunteer to help out in whatever way they feel called or have gifts in.
At MCC, every time we seek to hear from the congregation about the passions, interests and ideas that they have, we use a form called Discovering Your Part. That form is available for download here now. You can print it off, fill it in and either drop it to the office on Main St or bring it this Sunday to help us to include everyone who wants to participate in the leadership and running of the church and its ministries.

MCC Appoints A Youth And Student Worker
Posted on15. Sep, 2009 by Maynooth Town Portal.
After an extensive search process and with the help of Gilliam, Hargaden and Associates (recruitment specialists for all the best churches!), MCC are delighted to announce that the elders have appointed Ms. Lorraine Wylie to the role of Youth and Student Worker.
Lorraine has spent the last five years working with IFES Ireland with students all over Dublin. She brings with her an extensive experience with both students and teens, a passion for how church can actually be a positive phenomenon and a brilliant understanding of mission in Ireland.
She was born and raised in Tobermore in Co. Derry and studied at the University of Ulster Coleraine where she got a degree in Psychology and led the IFES Ireland Christian Union. She spent two years working as a volunteer with IFES Ireland as part of their RELAY programme in Dublin before assuming the role of Staff Worker.
In her spare time she loves to play music (having conquered practically every instrument ever invented), watch movies, run and drink very weak tea. We are delighted that we have someone with such gifts and potential to befriend and pastor our young people.

Lorraine will start work with us in October and her job will focus on developing the wider youth and student ministry capabilities of the church and will be in partnership with YoungLife Ireland.
